In January - November 2024, gas production and exports increased
According to operational data for January-November 2024, 26.5 million tons of oil (along with condensate) were produced throughout the republic. Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli accounted for 15.4 million tons of oil production, Shah Deniz for 3.8 million tons (gas condensate), and Absheron field for 0.52 million tons (gas condensate). SOCAR's oil output amounted to 6.8 million tons (including condensate).
During the reporting period, the volume of exported oil, including condensate, amounted to 22.2 million tons. Among these, consortium accounts for nearly 19.2 million tons, SOCAR for 3 million tons.
Oil refining in January-November 2024 amounted to 5.5 million tons.
It should be noted that in November 2024, the daily production of oil was 80,771 tons. Among these, 65,885 tons (486 thousand barrels) were crude oil, 14,886 thousand tons were condensate.
From January to November 2024, the country produced 45.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas. 12.1 bcm of gas production extracted from ACG, while 25.3 bcm from Shah Deniz. Absheron and SOCAR produced 1.4 bcm and 7 bcm gas, respectively. Gas was transported with an increase of approximately 1.8 bcm compared to the relevant period last year.
During this period, gas sales amounted to 22.9 bcm, which was 5 % more compared to the same period previous year. 11.7 bcm of gas were sold to Europe, 9 bcm to Türkiye, and 2.2 bcm to Georgia. During this period, 5.1 bcm of gas was delivered to Türkiye by TANAP.
From the date the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields put into commission until 1 December 2024, 648.4 million tons of oil (together with gas condensate) and 462.8 billion cubic meters of gas were produced. 600.1 million tons of oil, 228.5 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli, and about 48.3 million tons of condensate and 234.3 bcm of gas from Shah Deniz. Until 1 December, 646.4 million tons of oil and 167.6 bcm of gas were exported from these fields.
