Students` visit to Garadagh SPP was organized

With the support of the Ministry of Energy and Masdar, on the initiative of the Public Council under the Ministry, students` visit to the 230 MW Garadagh SPP was organized within the Green World Solidarity Year.

On the eve of the COP29, students from Baku Higher Oil School, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Baku Engineering University and Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction attended the visit, which aims to connect students' theoretical knowledge with practical experience and promote the advantages of renewable energy in combating climate change.

During the visit, the participants got acquainted with the activities of the solar power plant and were informed in detail about the construction, operation and integration processes of the plant into the grid. Specific features of solar energy technologies and equipment used, as well as technical, economic, environmental and social aspects of green energy production enterprises were explained to the students. In addition, the students' questions were answered and extensive discussions were held on the topics of their interest.
