Cooperation in the field of renewable energy was discussed with German companies

The delegation led by Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov visited Yangijang and Beijing in China on 24-26 September.

The delegation participated in the 2nd meeting of the working group established between the Ministry of Energy and "China Energy Engineering Group Co.Ltd" within the framework of the visit. Meetings were also held with representatives of "Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., CEEC", "TBEA CO., Ltd.", and "China Datang Corporation Ltd."  In addition to the associates of the Energy Ministry, the director of SOCAR Green company Elmir Musayev was also represented in the delegation.

At the meetings, information about the energy corridors initiated by Azerbaijan was brought to attention, the importance of the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe green energy corridor in terms of exporting large amounts of renewable energy was discussed, cooperation opportunities with China in renewable energy, energy storage systems, grid strengthening, "green energy" export, offshore wind energy, supply of high voltage direct current (HVDC) cables were discussed, a wide exchange of ideas about the study of the latest practices took place. It was brought to attention that Chinese companies are interested in participating in large-scale fields of activity for the realization of huge renewable energy potential in Azerbaijan, investment opportunities in the construction of renewable energy plants in Azerbaijan have been assessed.
