On 26 September, the next meeting of the Working Group on connection to power supply grids of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held in video conference format.

Deputy Energy Minister, Head of the Working Group Samir Valiyev declared the meeting open and presented the issues on the agenda. Head of the Secretariat of the Commission Vusal Shikhaliyev spoke about possible changes in the methodology of the B-Ready report of the World Bank.

At the meeting, information was provided on the implementation status of the Road Map for 2024 regarding the implementation of improvements and communication in the relevant field related to the utility services (electricity) indicator of the World Bank's Business Ready report in the third quarter.

Then the presentation of the E-information booklet reflecting the functions and powers of the regulator in the electric power engineering sector took place.

The possibilities of intensification of propaganda work in order to regularly inform entrepreneurs about the reforms carried out in the field of connection to the electricity supply grid and the advantages created by them were discussed.

At the meeting, discussions were also held on agreeing the track to ensure the connection to ESG, including the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs when connecting to ESG, increasing capacity and getting terms of references to restore network lines.

The representatives from the Ministries of Energy, Economy, Digital Development and Transport, State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, Azerishig OJSC, Small and Medium Business Development Agency and Energy Regulatory Agency, as well as responsible persons directly involved in the implementation of the road map participated.
