A meeting was held with the representatives of Uniper

Meeting with a delegation from Germany`s Uniper company was held at the Ministry of Energy.

At the meeting with the participation of Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov, satisfaction with existing cooperation was expressed. Gas supply, energy security, diversification of supplies, energy efficiency, energy transition, cooperation in the field of renewables and promising opportunities were discussed. The participants talked about the creation of green energy zones in our country, the green energy potential, its production and export, and informed about the plans and initiatives of Azerbaijan in the field of green energy within the COP29 event to be held in our country this year.

During the discussion, matters on the development of production and export of the green hydrogen were considered. The possibilities of cooperation and implementation of joint projects in the field of production and storage of green hydrogen, as well as expansion of blue hydrogen technologies were discussed, and the importance of exchanging experience in this area was noted.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues arising from cooperation and of mutual interest.
