Electricity figures were announced for two months of 2024

According to operational data for January-February 2024, total electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 4 686.4 million kWh during the last two months.

During two months, electricity production at TPPs amounted to 4 316.2 million kWh, at HPPs to 268.3 million kWh with an increase of 146.7 million kWh in comparison with the same period last year, and on other sources to 101.9 million kWh with an increase of 45.4 million kWh in comparison with the same period last year. 9.5 million kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 50.7 million kWh at SPPs, and 41.7 million kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant.

During the reporting period, electricity generation made up 4 186.0 mln kWh on Azerenergy OJSC (3 928.1 mln kWh at TPPs, 257.9 mln kWh at HPPs), 59.8 mln kWh on State Energy Agency of Nakhchivan AR (44.5 mln kWh at TPPs, 8.1 mln kWh at HPPs, 7.2 mln kWh at SPP), 6.0 mln kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC, and 434.6 mln kWh on Independent PPs).

During the last two months, the electricity imports amounted to 32.5 mln kWh and the exports to 221.6 mln kWh.

It should be noted that the electricity generation in the republic in February 2024 amounted to 2 273.5 million kWh. During the month, the imports of the electricity production amounted to 13.5 million kWh, exports to 106.7 million kWh.
