Electricity figures were announced for January 2024

According to operational data for January 2024, total electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 2401.6 million kWh last month.

During January, electricity production at TPPs amounted to 2229.3 million kWh, at HPPs to 129.4 million kWh with an increase of 62.2 million kWh in comparison with the same period last year, and on other sources to 42.9 million kWh with an increase of 15.0 million kWh in comparison with the same period last year. 5.8 million kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 18.2 million kWh at SPPs, and 18.9 million kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant.

During the reporting period, electricity generation made up 2165.7 mln kWh on Azerenergy OJSC (2041.1 mln kWh at TPPs, 124.6 mln kWh at HPPs), 30.4 mln kWh on State Energy Agency of Nakhchivan AR (24.03 mln kWh at TPPs, 3.65 mln kWh at HPPs, 2.74 mln kWh at SPP), 3.74 mln kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC, and 201.8 mln kWh on Independent PPs).

Last month, the electricity exports amounted to 116.3 mln kWh, and imports to 19.0 mln kWh.
