Next meeting of the Working Group on Coordination and Monitoring was held
Under the chairmanship of Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, the next meeting of the Working Group on Coordination and Monitoring regarding the application of green technologies and energy efficiency requirements in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.
Opening the event, the Minister noted that the transformation of the liberated territories into a green energy zone is one of the main directions of the reconstruction work carried out under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Also, the importance of the steps taken to expand the use of renewable energy in the context of Azerbaijan's hosting the 29th Session of the Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) was emphasized.
According to the agenda, the Secretariat's report on the tasks carried out in accordance with the decision adopted at the previous meeting of the Working Group was reviewed. The work carried out and intended for the implementation in the areas liberated from the occupation was discussed in areas such as the implementation of road and street lighting through solar-based hybrid systems, the introduction of heating systems, the creation of a Green Energy Zone Pavilion, the formation of a regulatory and technical framework for the application of technologies.
The representatives of the special representations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Recovery Construction and Management Service public legal entities in the liberated territories, as well as representatives of the Karabakh Revival Fund and Azeristiliktechizat OJSC, along with state bodies included in the Working Group attended at the meeting.
