Electricity production in the republic increased during 11 months

According to operational data for January-November 2023, total electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 26487.5 million kWh. In comparison with the same period last year, electricity production increased by 223.0 million kWh (0.8%).

During January-November, electricity production at TPPs amounted to 24525.1 million kWh, at HPPs to 1636.5 million kWh, and on other sources to 325.9 million kWh. 54.3 million kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 69.7 million kWh at SPPs, and 201.9 million kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant.

During the reporting period, electricity generation made up 23894.9 mln kWh on Azerenergy OJSC (22363.3 mln kWh at TPPs, 1531.6 mln kWh at HPPs), 444.2 mln kWh on State Energy Agency of Nakhchivan AR (295.5 mln kWh at TPPs, 90.9 mln kWh at HPPs, 57.8 mln kWh at SPP), 40.1 mln kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC, and 2108.3 mln kWh on Independent PPs).

In January-November 2023, the electricity exports amounted to 2752.7 mln kWh, and imports to 200.8 mln kWh.

It should be noted that the electricity generation in the republic in November 2023 amounted to 2453.4 million kWh.  During the month, the imports of the electricity production amounted to 10.6 million kWh, exports to 401.2 million kWh.
