Deputy Minister Samir Valiyev and Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev held a meeting at the Ministry of Energy.

The Deputy Minister congratulated the guest on his new appointment and wished success in his activities to further strengthen cooperation between the member states of the Organization.

The priorities of multilateral energy cooperation were considered at the meeting and the importance of the development of relations in the aspect of energy security was emphasized. The attention was drawn to the 1st meeting of the energy ministers and energy working group of the OTS, held last year within the chairmanship of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Organization, and the activities of sub-working groups formed in 3 different areas of energy among the member states were discussed.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the energy transition, expansion of the existing practices of successful cooperation between the Turkic states on traditional types of energy, green energy, energy efficiency and other issues of mutual interest.
