The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov visited the Central Azeri platform

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov has visited the Central Azeri platform.

The Minister of Energy visited platform with the participation of BP's regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey Gary Jones, SOCAR Vice President for Field Development Yashar Latifov and other representatives, and got acquainted with the activities of the platform.

BP's regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey Gary Jones informed about current status of "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields' block, preventive maintenance work on the Central Azeri platform, modern technical, security system built on the platform and new measures planned. During the visit, the work to be done within the framework of the Azeri-Central-East project, which is the next stage of development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block, was also brought to the attention.

The Central Azeri platform was put into commission in the first stage of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli project, one of three platforms installed on the Azeri field.
