Minister of Energy has received Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov received Bilal Hayee, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan.

The meeting paid special attention to the development of cooperation between the two countries and the expansion of partnership areas.

The sides considered perspectives to strengthen cooperation in the field of energy. The parties also discussed mutual investment in the energy sector and exchanged views on the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and petrochemical products to Pakistan. Information was also provided on the renewable energy resources in the liberated territories and the potential of wind energy in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea and development plans.

During the meeting, Pakistani companies were invited to participate in renewable energy projects. The importance of establishing a joint working group within the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission for the development of cooperation in the field of energy was stressed.
