Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu, who is visiting Azerbaijan.

Partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova were discussed during the conversation. It was noted that the next meeting of the Azerbaijan-Moldova Intergovernmental Commission was successfully held in Baku yesterday, and the protocol signed on the results of the meeting will stimulate the development of cooperation in the energy sector as well as other fields between the two countries. It was emphasized that this document will give impetus to the development of cooperation in the energy sector between Azerbaijan and Moldova.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the gas supply opportunities between Azerbaijan and Moldova and prospective solutions for ensuring energy security during the energy crisis currently faced by Moldova.

Also, information was provided on the export of electricity to Europe, the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania-Hungary Black Sea submarine power and digital connectivity project, the development of joint projects in the field of electricity supply, as well as other bilateral cooperation issues were discussed.
