Santiago Mba Eneme Nsuga, Secretary of State for Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea visited the Ministry of Energy

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov met with the delegation led by Santiago Mba Eneme Nsuga, Secretary of State for Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea.  During the meeting, the sides discussed the invitation of Azerbaijan to the fifth Gas Summit of Heads of State and government officials of the members of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF)  to be held on Nowember 27-29, 2019, as well as perspectives of bilateral cooperation.  

Santiago Mba Eneme Nsuga said that Azerbaijan`s participation in this event as a gas exporter and an observer of the organization will also be important for bilateral cooperation. It was also noted that Equatorial Guinea is interested in exchange of knowledge and of experience on advanced technologies not only within the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, but also in the hydrocarbon industry.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said that the cooperation with the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) intensified in recent years. The minister noted that available opportunities should be considered for the development of cooperation with Equatorial Guinea in the bilateral format within international organizations and in the energy sector. It was also noted that Azerbaijan is ready to share its experience in the field of oil and gas.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
