The third meeting of the working group on Energy between the governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary has been held in Budapest.

The co-chair of the Working Group, Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Energy Zaur Mammadov spoke about the work done within the energy cooperation since the second meeting held in Baku. It was noted that the successful cooperation has been continued in the fields such as oil and gas, renewable energy, energy efficiency and regulation , and information was provided about the meetings held at different levels.

The co-chair of the meeting from the Hungarian side, Head of Energy and Climate Diplomacy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Bölkeny shared his views on the current status of energy cooperation between the two countries and the steps to be taken this year.

Presentations on Azerbaijan's future contribution to European energy supply within the Memorandum signed with the European Union, development of the gas infrastructure of Central and South-Eastern Europe for the transmission of Azerbaijani gas, cooperation between the energy companies of the two countries on natural gas supply, implementation of the memorandum signed between regulatory authorities, Green Energy Corridor, Hungary's green energy development plan and experience in energy efficiency were made, speeches were delivered.

At the end, a protocol was signed on the outcomes of the third meeting of the Working Group on Energy.
