Next meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Energy was held

A next meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Energy was held in a hybrid format with the participation of the Chair and members of the Council, as well as representatives of the Ministry.

The meeting discussed the organisation of the Council’s activities, its upcoming tasks and measures planned for the next period. Issues such as energy supply, the development of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, expanding public participation and raising public awareness of energy-related matters were reviewed.

In addition, views were exchanged on the draft Rules for the Operation of Gas Installations. 

During the meeting, the Council’s Action Plan for 2026-2027 was discussed. The Plan envisages holding meetings and discussions with government authorities, educational and scientific institutions, energy companies and other stakeholders on various areas of the energy sector, gathering public opinion, as well as organising awareness-raising activities.

As part of its future activities, the Council also plans to broaden the involvement of the academic and scientific community and, depending on the nature of the issues under discussion, invite relevant experts to participate in its meetings.

The Public Council will continue its activities aimed at expanding public participation in the energy sector, bringing topical issues to public discussion, raising awareness of energy-related matters and strengthening cooperation with civil society institutions.
