Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov held separate meetings with Cindy Rondón, Venezuela's Vice Minister of Gas at the Ministry of People's Power for Hydrocarbons and Saeed Tavakoli, Iran's Deputy Minister of Petroleum & CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company.

During the meeting with Cindy Rondon, the parties discussed the role of high-level meetings held within the framework of international forums and cooperation under the OPEC+ format in advancing energy relations between the two countries. They emphasized the growing importance of cooperation among energy-producing countries in light of the expected increase in global energy demand over the coming decades. Opportunities for collaboration in the oil and gas sector were also explored.

The discussions highlighted Venezuela's abundant oil and gas reserves, opportunities for the development of new fields, the expansion of offshore projects, and cooperation with international energy companies. Azerbaijan's experience in the hydrocarbons sector was presented. The parties also considered potential cooperation between the two countries' state-owned energy companies, as well as collaboration in specialist training, inter-university exchanges, and human resource development.

During the meeting with Saeid Tavakoli, the parties discussed Azerbaijan–Iran energy cooperation in the oil and gas and electricity sectors. They reviewed opportunities for implementing joint projects and considered ways to further strengthen energy cooperation within the framework of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.
