Minister of Energy met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine

A meeting was held between Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, and Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the long-standing history of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine. It was noted that the Joint Intergovernmental Commission has played an important role in expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, the economy, and other areas.

The participants also highlighted the importance of humanitarian cooperation and highly appreciated Azerbaijan's support for Ukraine. The Ukrainian side expressed particular gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan, as well as for its support to Ukraine's energy sector, noting its significant importance to the country.

The meeting further focused on energy security and opportunities to expand energy cooperation between the two countries. The establishment of working groups to advance cooperation in areas of mutual interest was considered appropriate.
