Ministry of Energy hosts meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan

Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, received a delegation led by Oleg Korobchenko, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Russian Federation. 

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of Azerbaijan–Russia relations, including cooperation in the energy sector. The parties exchanged views on further developing energy cooperation, the application of new technologies, and Tatarstan's experience in the production of energy equipment.

The delegation provided detailed information on the current state of Tatarstan's electricity system and its planned energy projects. It was noted that significant progress has been achieved in recent years in the localization of new technologies as part of the technological modernization carried out in the industrial and energy sectors.

The Azerbaijani side was invited to participate with a broad delegation in the Kazan International Electric Power Forum, to be held next year. It was noted that the Forum serves as an important platform for expanding energy cooperation among the CIS countries. Within the framework of the Forum, a range of technical and practical issues, including cooperation on the modernization of energy systems and high-voltage power technologies, are discussed.
