Within the WUF13, the Energy Minister met with Pakistan`s Federal Minister for Climate Affairs

Within the 13th Session of the World Urban Planning Forum (WUF13), a meeting was held between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination of Pakistan Musadik Masood Malik.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that fraternal and high political relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have made a significant contribution to the development of energy cooperation. The issues on the agenda for the development of cooperation with Pakistan in the field of energy were considered.

In the context of growing electricity demand and the increasing strategic importance of energy resources and routes, the sides exchanged views on Azerbaijan’s electricity interconnector projects implemented with Europe, Türkiye and Central Asia, as well as on the Zangezur Corridor.

The conversation also touched upon the events to be held within the framework of Baku Energy Week.
