Deputy Energy Minister attends Uzbekistan Energy Week
Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov participated in Uzbekistan Energy Week held in Tashkent, under the slogan "New Energy: Innovation, Sustainability, and Regional Cooperation”. The Deputy Minister delivered remarks during the plenary session titled Combining Efforts to Build a Sustainable Regional Energy System.
The plenary session addressed opportunities for regional cooperation in the development of a unified energy market, approaches to establishing a modern energy market, implementation of green economy transition strategies and other related topics.
As part of the event, a meeting was held among the Deputy Energy Ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan regarding the project on green energy development and transmission. The meeting reviewed the current status of the project’s implementation, the work carried out on the preparation of the feasibility study, and future areas of cooperation.
Within the visit, Deputy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov also held bilateral and joint meetings with Uzbekistan’s Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, the Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, and the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmengaz State Concern. In addition, a meeting was held with Atsuko Hirose, Acting Secretary General of the International Energy Charter. During the meetings, the parties exchanged views on cooperation issues in the energy sector.
