The meeting of the Working Group on Connection to Power Supply Networks was held
The next meeting of the Working Group on connection to power supply networks of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held. The representatives from the Ministries of Energy, Economy, Digital Development and Transport, State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, Azerishig OJSC, Small and Medium Business Development Agency and Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency and private sectors participated at the meeting.
The head of the Working Group, Deputy Energy Minister Samir Valiyev noted the importance of the implementation of the issues on the agenda in the most optimal form.
Then, Vusal Shikhaliyev, the Head of the Secretariat spoke about the positive results of the utilities (electricity) indicator in the 2025 edition of the World Bank's Business Ready report. It was noted that as a result of the assessment among 101 countries, Azerbaijan gained 83.05 points on the relevant indicator and took 25th place among the CIS countries with a small margin after Kazakhstan.
Ramil Yusifov, Deputy Head of the Working Group and First Deputy Chairman of Azərishig OJSC presented the work carried out within the implementation of measures envisaged for the first quarter of the current year under the 2026 Roadmap on improvements and communication in the relevant field, in connection with the Utilities (Electricity) indicator of the World Bank’s Business Ready report.
In the end, it was decided to take appropriate steps to strengthen coordination between the state bodies represented in the Working Group in order to achieve all the goals set for the current year.
