In the first quarter of 2026, 925 million kWh green energy was produced

According to operational data for the first quarter of 2026, the production of electricity in Azerbaijan amounted to 6991 million kWh.

During this period, electricity production at TPPs amounted to 6066 million kWh, at HPPs to 510.5 million kWh, and on other sources to 414.5 million kWh, as well as 247.7 million kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 91.3 million kWh at SPPs, and 75.5 million kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant.

In January-March, compared with the same period in 2025, the electricity production at wind farms amounted to 238.2 million. kWh increased. In total, electricity production on renewable energy sources, including HPPs, amounted to 925 million kWh.

During the quarter, electricity generation made up 6076.8 million kWh on Azerenergy OJSC (5558.6 million kWh at TPPs, 508.1 million kWh at HPPs, 10.1 million kWh at SPPs), 7.9 million kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC, and 906.3 million kWh on Independent Power Plants.

During this period, electricity exports were 142.4 million kWh while imports were 35.0 million kWh.
