Deputy Minister of Energy meets with Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamal Abbasov, met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda John Mulimba, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for the development of bilateral relations, including in the field of energy, and underlined the importance of mutual support and exchange of experience in strengthening cooperation. Information was provided on the activities and projects implemented in Azerbaijan in the fields of oil and gas, electricity, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. At the same time, Uganda’s oil and gas sector, mining industry, and hydropower potential were highlighted, and prospects for future cooperation in these areas were reviewed. 

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
