Minister of Energy met his Algerian counterpart

Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mining of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in the format of a video conference.

At the meeting, both multilateral and bilateral energy cooperation within the OPEC plus were discussed. The sides exchanged views on the development of trade in the field of natural gas production and export. The cooperation relations arising from the international activities of SOCAR and Sonatrach were emphasized.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria on cooperation in the area of oil and gas on 29 November 2022 in Algeria, it was agreed to hold the first meeting of the Working Group as soon as possible.
