As part of the COP29, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov held a number of meetings.
At the meeting with the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma, the importance of holding the Energy Transition Investment Forum for Central Asia within the COP was discussed. The sides expressed interest in oil supplies to Tajikistan and cooperation with Azerbaijan in renewable energy projects. The cooperation opportunities regarding the Central Asia-Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor were also reviewed. 
Parviz Shahbazov also met with Jordan's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh. The meeting focused on prospects for cooperation in the oil and gas and refining industries. Jordan expressed support for Azerbaijan's energy initiatives. 
 Additionally, Shahbazov met with Total Energies CEO Patrick Pouyanné. The parties discussed the current status of joint projects, including work on the full-scale development of the Absheron gas condensate field.  They also exchanged views on the implementation of export-oriented solar and wind projects with a total capacity of 500 MW.
