Azerbaijan-Korea cooperation in energy sector was discussed

Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has received Lee Eun Yong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan. The sides touched upon the development of diplomatic relations, trade and economic relations between the two countries, spoke about the current state and future prospects of cooperation in the field of energy.

The ambassador noted that Korean companies have high technological capabilities and great experience in the field of energy, including the use of renewable energy sources, and expressed their interest in participating in the projects being implemented in Azerbaijan.

The Minister of Energy stressed that the meetings held last year during the visits of high-level delegations from Korea to Baku gave impetus to the development of relations between the two countries and created great opportunities for further cooperation in the energy sector.

Other issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
