Ministry of Energy was represented at 36th meeting of Gas Exporting Countries Forum

The 36th meeting of Executive Board of the GECF was held in video conference format with the participation of the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Yury Sentyurin. The meeting was chaired by Venezuelan representative Yazmin Ramirez.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, and Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Norway and the United Arab Emirates as observers. The Ministry of Energy was represented by Otel Huseynov, Parvin Bayramova and Elnur Alakbarov.
At the meeting, Program of  Work for 2021, Execution of Budget for 2019, 2020 and 2021, Action Plan for 2019 and 2020, as well as the reports of the natural gas hub, gas market and natural gas for 2050, the legal documents on the establishment of the Gas Research Institute, preparations for the 22nd Ministerial Meeting to be held in Algeria in the autumn of the current year, date of the 37th Executive Board  Meeting and other issues were discussed, and relevant decisions were made.
It should be noted that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on February 24 on additional measures related to the participation of Azerbaijan as an observer member at the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries.
