The meeting was held in video-conference format between the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Seyid Abbas Mousavi. At the meeting, bilateral energy cooperation issues between Azerbaijan and Iran were discussed. 
The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on starting the diplomatic activity in our country and wished success. Then, the ambassador was informed about the latest military provocations of Armenia and counter-offensive operations carried out by Azerbaijan on its territory. It was noted that as a result of heavy artillery and missile attacks of the Armenian Armed Forces on the cities and villages of Azerbaijan, 91 civilians have been killed and more than 400 injured since September 27.
The ambassador expressed his condolences to the Azerbaijani people, families and relatives of martyrs for the people killed  in the cities of Ganja, Barda, Tartar and other regions away from the combat zone as a result of Armenia's military provocations. Noting that his country's official position remains unchanged, he stressed the importance of the settlement of the conflict within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty. At the same time, he presented his congratulations on the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan by the Azerbaijani army.
Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov expressed his opinions on the ongoing projects implemented with Iran, the status of implementation and the work done, and expressed his confidence that Ambassador Seyid Abbas Mousavi will contribute to the successful cooperation that has been going on for years.
At the meeting, the current status of cooperation with Iran in the fields of oil and gas, power engineering, implementation of joint projects and other issues were discussed.
