The next meeting of the Working Group on connection to power supply networks was held

On 28 March, the next meeting of the Working Group of Connection to Power Supply Networks of the Commission on business environment and international ratings was held in the format of a video conference.

The head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev made an opening speech and provided information about the agenda of the meeting. The head of the Secretariat of the Commission, Vusal Shikhaliyev, shared his views on the implementation of the decisions made at previous meetings of the Working Group.

According to the agenda, the secretary of the Working Group presented reports on the implementation status of the measures envisaged in the Road Map for 2022-2023 on the Indicator of Connection to Utilities (Power Supply Networks), the Action Plan of the Working Group for 2022 and the Communication Strategy for Connecting to Power Supply Networks.

The work carried out by Azerishiq OJSC on the measures envisaged in the Communication Strategy for Connecting to Power Supply Networks was discussed. Statistical data on online applications for connection to networks were reviewed and it was noted that as a result of the implementation of the Communication Strategy, an increase in the number of online connections was recorded compared to the previous period.

The information was given on the work done in connection with the organization of the EnergyTech hackathon  to be held next month in order to increase the number of e-system users, ensure efficiency in this direction, improve the quality level of service and prevent time loss.

Proposals and recommendations on the results of the assessment on the organization of e-services provided by Azerishiq OJSC were discussed. The importance of continuing the measures to promote and popularize the use of electronic serviceswas noted.

The representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency under the Ministry, the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry, the Ministry of Economy, the Small and Medium Business (SMB) Development Agency, "Innovations Center" LLC under the State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerishig OJSC and Azerenergy OJSC, as well as private companies that are the members of the Working Group participated at the meeting.
