Electricity production in the country increased by 2.6% during 7 months
In total, the electricity production in the republic increased by 420.0 mln kWh, namely 2.6 % compared to the same period last year, amounting to 16278.1 mln kWh in January-July 2022.
During the reporting period, electricity generation at TPPs increased by 125.1 mln kWh reaching to 14893.0mln kWh, at HPPs increased by 286.5 mln kWh reaching to 1163.9 mln kWh, and at other sources (WPP, SPP and Solid household waste plant) increased by 8.4 mln kWh reaching to 221.2 mln kWh in comparison with last year. 54.0 mln kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 37.5 mln kWh at SPPs, and 129.7 mln kWh at the Solid Household Waste Incineration Plant.
In January-July electricity generation made up 14653.6 million kWh on Azerenergy OJSC (13578.0 million kWh at TPPs, 1075.6 mln kWh at HPPs), 268.8 mln kWh on State Energy Agency of Nakhchivan AR (156.5 mln kWh at TPPs, 77.8 mln kWh at HPPs, 34.5 mln kWh at SPP), 39.06 mln kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC, and 1316.64 million kWh on independent PPs.
In January-July 2022, the electricity exports amounted to 1037.7 mln kWh, and imports to 83.5 mln kWh.
Electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 2751.3 million kWh. In comparison with the same period in 2021, electricity production in July increased by 110.7 million kWh (4.2%).
In July, the electricity imports increased by 1.2 mln kWh amounting to 12.4 mln kWh compared to the same period 2021, while the exports increased by 221.5 mln kWh amounting to 374.2 mln kWh.
