A training was organized on the role of healthy competition and cooperation in the workplace
As part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and the State Examination Center (SEC), training sessions aimed at supporting the professional development of employees and enhancing their knowledge and skills are ongoing.
In this context, the latest training session was dedicated to the topic The Role of Healthy Competition and Cooperation in the Workplace.
A representative of the SEC delivered a presentation covering the concepts of cooperation, competition and destructive behaviour, the advantages and disadvantages of a non-competitive work environment, as well as the impact of competition-based and cooperation-based reward systems on the workplace.
During the training, participants discussed the factors that shape a competitive environment, the impact of competition on work performance and the key criterias for healthy competition. Attention was also given to the proper structuring of the evaluation process, defining criteria for success, maintaining a balance between individual and collective outcomes, the impact of daily communication on behaviour, and the importance of development-oriented feedback.
As part of the interactive training, participants completed practical exercises on defining criteria for healthy competition and fostering a healthy work environment. Participants also exchanged views and experiences, and questions related to the topic were addressed.
A total of 28 employees from the Ministry of Energy, Azerbaijan Regulatory Energy Agency and the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency participated in the training.
