Ministry of Energy Holds Event to Mark Remembrance Day
An event was held at the Ministry of Energy to mark Remembrance Day.
The event began with a minute of silence in honour of the cherished memory of our heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our Motherland.
Addressing the event, Zaur Mammadov, Head of Administration of the Ministry of Energy, spoke about the courage and heroism demonstrated by the Azerbaijani Army during the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity was restored as a result of the Patriotic War, while subsequent measures led to the full restoration of the country’s sovereignty.
The Head of Administration also highlighted the large-scale reconstruction and development work being carried out in the territories liberated from occupation and spoke about the measures undertaken to develop the liberated territories in accordance with the Green Energy Zone concept.
The speeches also highlighted the historical significance of 27 September - Remembrance Day, as well as the heroism and self-sacrifice demonstrated by the servicemen and our compatriots who became martyrs during the Patriotic War. It was emphasized that their service to the Motherland serves as an example for future generations.
The event concluded with the screening of a video dedicated to Remembrance Day.
