In the first half this year, the green energy production amounted to 2.8 billion kWh

According to operational data for January-June 2026, the electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 13,388.6 million kWh.

During this period, electricity production at TPPs amounted to 10594.9 million kWh, at HPPs to 1891.7 million kWh, and on other sources to 902 million kWh, as well as 475.7 million kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 282.7 million kWh at SPPs, and 143.6 million kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant.

During 6 months, compared to the corresponding period of 2025, electricity generation increased by 31.2 million kWh at hydropower plants and by 454.7 million kWh at wind power plants. In total, electricity generation increased by 463.1 million kWh at hydropower plants, amounted to 2793.7 million kWh at WPPs.

During 6 months, electricity generation made up 11479.5 million kWh on Azerenergy OJSC (9568.9 million kWh at TPPs, 1883.2 million kWh at HPPs, 27.4 million kWh at SPPs), 14 million kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC, and 1895.1 million kWh on Independent Power Plants.

During this period, electricity exports were 241.2 million kWh while imports were 113.1 million kWh.
