An educational event was held at the Ministry of Energy within the Human Rights Month on 18 May - 18 June, announced by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the event, Deputy Head of the administration of the Ministry Khalida Masimova spoke about the work done by National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the direction of ensuring human rights and freedoms in Azerbaijan, reforms carried out. It was noted that the principles of legal State Building laid down by the Great Leader are successfully continued by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev today and the provision of human rights is one of the priorities of state policy. The celebration of June 18 as Human Rights Day was regarded as a clear example of the importance attached to this area. 

Murvat Babayev, Deputy Head of the Ministry's Law Department, spoke about the essence and importance of the measures taken in the field of human rights protection. The information was given about the international agreements that our country has joined in the relevant field, the normative documents adopted by it, the reforms carried out and the important achievements in this field.

At the event attended by the Administration of the Ministry of Energy, AERA, AREA, an exchange of views on the topic was held, and the importance of continuing public awareness events in the field of human rights was noted.
