An event dedicated to the 102th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Ministry of Energy.

Speaking at the event, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov assessed 10 May as the day of the beginning of a great history in Azerbaijan, and the life of Heydar Aliyev, who turned his fate into the Chronicle of statehood and progress of Azerbaijan, as a bright part of the history of the development of the Azerbaijani state as a whole. It was talked about the state policy and invaluable services of the Great Leader in the socio-political life of the Azerbaijani people, the development of our country as a democratic and legal state and the promotion of its international authority.

It was noted in the speech that the wise statesman Heydar Aliyev, despite all the difficulties in each of the two different historical conditions in which he led Azerbaijan, achieved significant successes in the electric power industry and the hydrocarbon industry. The oil strategy, formed as a result of the political will and foresight of the National Leader, has strengthened the energy independence and international prestige of our country, turning Azerbaijan into a safe and sustainable supplier of oil and natural gas.

It was emphasized that the building mission of the great leader was successfully continued today by his worthy successor, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that as a result of the progressive policy of the Head of State, the strongest Azerbaijan in history was built, our lands were cleared of enemies, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of independent Azerbaijan was ensured. Today's Azerbaijan is the most powerful Azerbaijan in history, which the Great Leader dreamed of.

At the event, the speeches of the ministry's employees were also heard, which spoke about Heydar Aliyev's role in the formation of the oil and gas policy of our country, the development of the electric power system, as well as the establishment and activities of the New Azerbaijan Party.
