Green energy production in the country increased by 80% during 10 months

According to operational data for January- October 2024, total electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 23847.3 million kWh.
During the reporting period, electricity production at TPPs amounted to 20532.0 million kWh, at HPPs to 2563.0 million kWh, and on other sources to 752.3 million kWh. 44.8 million kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 515.3 million kWh at SPPs, and 192.2 million kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant. 
Thus, the production of electricity on green energy sources for the same period last year nearly increased by 1495.0 million kWh and amounted 3315.3 million kWh.
During the reporting period, electricity generation made up 21066.0 mln kWh on Azerenergy OJSC (18676.4 mln kWh at TPPs, 2389.6 mln kWh at HPPs), 411.0 mln kWh on State Energy Agency of Nakhchivan AR (199.8 mln kWh at TPPs, 157.3 mln kWh at HPPs, 53.9 mln kWh at SPP), 34.2 mln kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC, and 2336.1 mln kWh on Independent PPs).
During reporting period, electricity exports were 1247.6 mln kWh while imports were 150.8 mln kWh.
It should be noted that the electricity generation in the republic in October 2024 amounted to 2060.9 million kWh. During the month, exports of electricity production amounted to 12.02 million kWh, imports to 11.4 million kWh.
