Energy Minister met with his Moldovan and Moroccan counterparts

Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Victor Parlicov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Moldova within the COP29 event.

At the meeting, discussions were held on topical issues of the bilateral energy agenda. The sides exchanged views on the transition to green energy and green energy corridors implemented in various directions in Azerbaijan.  Opportunities for expanding cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy regulation were assessed. It was agreed to sign memoranda of cooperation in the areas of energy efficiency, promotion of renewable energy sources and energy regulation.

The Minister also met with Leila Benali, Morocco's Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development. At the meeting, the development processes in the energy sector and the experience of green energy transition in both countries were shared. The cooperation potential on renewable energy, gas infrastructure and pespective projects was considered. Support for COP29's energy initiatives has been expressed.
