A meeting of the Technical Committee in the field of green energy was held

The first meeting of the Technical Committee on standardization of Electric Power Engineering and Renewable Energy was held at the Ministry of Energy. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues of preparation and application of national standards in accordance with international standards in the relevant field.

Opening the meeting, Deputy Head of Administration of the Ministry, Chairman of the Technical Committee Khalida Masimova emphasized that the reforms carried out in our country contribute to the sustainable development of all sectors of the economy, including energy. He noted that the development of modern standards in accordance with international norms is of great importance in terms of ensuring the quality of products produced in Azerbaijan, as well as in import and export operations.

Firuza Bahri, Head of Division of Standardization on Electrical Engineering, İnformation Technology and Telecommunication of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, spoke about the importance of applying international standards for the modern development of the field of electricity generation and emphasized the importance of adapting standardization processes to the global economy.

At the meeting "AZS EN 15218:2024 Air conditioners and liquid chilling packages with evaporatively cooled condenser and with electrically driven compressors for space cooling - terms, definitions, test conditions, test methods and requirements", AZS EN 30-2-1: 2024 - Domestic cooking appliances burning gas - Part 2-1: Rational use of energy - General" and AZS IEC 62512:2024 "Electric clothes washer-dryers for household use - Methods for measuring the performance" standardization projects were reviewed. The proposals and recommendations of the members of the Technical Committee participating in the discussions on the projects were heard.
