The next meeting of the Working Group on Coordination and Monitoring regarding the application of green technologies and energy efficiency requirements in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the Ministry of Energy.

The chairman of the Working Group, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov stressed that significant steps were taken to create a green energy zone in the liberated territories on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and drew attention to the strategic goals set in this area.

Then, in accordance with the agenda of the meeting, reports on the work done in the direction of using renewable energy sources in Karabakh and East Zangezur, as well as a report on the implementation of the decisions made at the 6th meeting of the Working Group over the past period were presented.

A report on the results of monitoring on the application of green technologies and energy efficiency in the liberated territories was presented.

Also, information on approaches to the application of heat supply, individual or central heating systems in apartment buildings in the liberated territories was brought to the attention.

Proposals on the application of rooftop solar panels, metering and installation of electric charging points in the restored cities, regions, settlements and villages were considered.

At the end, it was agreed to take into account the reports on the discussed issues, to eliminate the shortcomings encountered during the monitoring in the liberated territories in a short time, to carry out the monitoring in accordance with the implementation schedule and with the participation of representatives of the relevant bodies.

The representatives from the special representations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Restoration Construction and Management Service public legal entities in the liberated territories, as well as Shusha City State Reserve Department, Azerigas PU, Azeristiliktechizat OJSC, Social Development Fund of IDPs attended at the meeting.
