Next Board Meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy

The next Board Meeting was held in hybrid format under the chairmanship of Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.

The Chairman of the Board stressed the importance of timely and efficient implementation of the tasks facing the Ministry in the direction of energy reforms, implementation of projects of strategic importance and strengthening the legislative base in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Then the reports were heard in accordance with the agenda of the meeting.

Information about the implementation status of the tasks arising from the application of the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Electrical Power Engineering and the upcoming tasks were given, and the work to be done in the direction of phased liberalization of the electric energy market was discussed. The process of creating a Coordination Council on the phased application of liberal market elements was considered.

The Ministry of Energy presented a report on the status of executive discipline and consideration of citizen applications for the first half of 2024. Statistics of appeals directed to structural units and permits issued by the Ministry were reviewed in the relevant period. The information on the implementation of the tasks arising from the relevant Decrees and Orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, adopted state programs, the actions taken and in progress, as well as the implementation level of the tasks on the work plan of the Ministry was provided.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board gave relevant instructions on the effective implementation of the measures to be carried out and the forthcoming tasks for the next period.
