In January-July, natural gas exports increased by 5.7 percent
According to operational data for January-July 2024, Azerbaijan produced 16.9 million tons oil (including condensate).
Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli accounted for 9.7 million tons of oil produced in the republic while Shah Deniz for 2.5 million tons (condensate) and Absheron for 0.34 million tons. SOCAR's oil output amounted to 4,4 million tons (including condensate).
During the reporting period, the volume of exported oil, including condensate, amounted to nearly 14,1 million tons. Out of this, consortium accounts for 12.2 million tons, SOCAR for 1.9 million tons.
In January-July of the current year, oil refining in the country amounted to 3.7 million tons.
In July 2024, daily oil production (including condensate) in Azerbaijan amounted to 80589 tons, including 65681 tons crude oil and 14908 tons condensate.
For 7 months, 29.5 bcm of natural gas was produced in the country. 7.7 bcm of gas production extracted from ACG, while 16.5 bcm from Shah Deniz. Absheron and SOCAR produced 0.9 bcm and 4.4 bcm of gas respectively. Gas was transported with an increase of namely 1.3 bcm compared to the relevant period of last year.
During this period, gas sales amounted to approximately 14.7 bcm, which was 5.7 % more compared to the same period previous year. In January-July this year, nearly 5.8 bcm of gas was sold to Türkiye, 7.5 bcm to Europe and 1.4 billion cubic meters to Georgia. It should be noted that, during this period 3.3 bcm of gas was exported to Türkiye through TANAP.
Since its commissioning till 1 August 2024, more than 641.4 million tons oil (including condensate) and 449.5 bcm of gas were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz. 594.4 million tons oil and 224 bcm of gas were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli. About 225.5 bcm of gas and nearly 47 million tons of condansate were extracted from Shah Deniz. Up to now, approximately 639.5 million tons oil (including condensate), about 160.7 bcm of gas were exported.
