According to operational data for the first quarter of 2024, 12.6 bcm of natural gas were produced in the republic during January-March. 3.3 bcm of gas production extracted from ACG, while 6.9 bcm from Shah Deniz. Absheron and SOCAR produced 0.4 bcm and 2 bcm gas respectively. Gas was transported with an increase of approximately 0.4 billion cubic meter compared to the relevant period last year.

During three months, gas sales amounted to 6.4 bcm, which was almost the same compared to the same period previous year. 3.2 billion cubic meters of gas were sold to Europe, 2.3 billion cubic meters to Türkiye, and 0.9 billion cubic meters to Georgia. It should be noted that, during this period nearly 1.3 bcm gas was exported to Türkiye through TANAP.

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz till 1 April 2024, about 219.6 bcm of gas was produced from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and more than 219.6 bcm of gas from Shah Deniz. During this period, 153,4 bcm gas was exported from Shah Deniz.

Azerbaijan produced 7.3 million tons of oil (including condensate) in January-March 2024. Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli accounted for 4.2 million tons of oil produced in the republic while Shah Deniz for 1.1 million tons (condensate) and Absheron for 0.14 million tons. SOCAR's oil output amounted to 1,9 million tons (including condensate).

The volume of exported oil, including condensate, amounted to 6 million tons. Out of this, consortium accounts for nearly 5.2 million tons, SOCAR for 0.8 million tons.

Since its commissioning till 1 April 2024, 634.5 million tons oil (including condensate) were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz. 588.9 million tons of crude oil were extracted from ACG, while about 45.6 million tons condensate from Shah Deniz. Till 1 April 2024, more than 632.5 million tons were exported.

Oil refining in January-March 2024 amounted to about 1.6 million tons.
