On 23-24 October, within the EU4Energy program, the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) held a seminar on EU4Energy - Promoting the Clean Energy Transition – Empowering Consumers through Better Regulation at the Ministry of Energy.

Presentations by EU4Energy program representative Khatuna Didbaridze, representative of Malta Manuel Manuzzi, Hungarian representative Armin Böhm and Greece Representative Athanasios Volikas were made at the event.

The participants shared their experiences on energy production optimization in the above mentioned countries, energy efficiency, important criteria covered by energy audit and audit, related obligations and penalties for their violation, the role of the state in this area, efficiency concept, energy efficiency in Buildings, investment in energy efficiency in European countries, energy efficiency regulations, implementation of Energy Management System, promotion of energy efficiency measures, energy and climate policy goals for 2030, targets set.

At the seminar, detailed information on the obligations on energy efficiency in our country, the procedure for determining energy efficiency potential and the legislative framework on evaluation criteria, as well as the energy audit system were presented. Other questions of interest to the participants of the seminar were answered regarding enterprises and buildings where mandatory energy audits are conducted, fines applied in case of violation of obligations, etc.

The employees of the Ministry of Energy and the AERA under the Ministry attended at the seminar.
