The Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov held a number of meetings within the Russian Energy Week in Moscow.

At the meeting with Alexander Novak, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, the two exchanged views on the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia on oil and gas production, transportation and supply of oil products, as well as electricity. The meeting discussed prospects of cooperation on joint projects with Russian energy companies. The sides exchanged of views on Iran's Monenco company’s the feasibility study of the Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran power system interconnection project, as well as on cooperation in the OPEC plus format.

The meeting with Minister of Energy Nikolay Shulginov focused on bilateral relations with Russia in the field of energy, as well as issues related to the interconnection of the power systems of Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran.

Parviz Shahbazov also met with Acting Minister of Energy, Power and Petroleum of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali to discuss the role of energy cooperation in the development of relations based on friendship, brotherhood and partnership. In this regard, the two hailed the importance of the contract signed with SOCAR Trading company on LNG supply. New prospects for cooperation were considered.

The meeting with the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, Daler Juma, evaluated the participation proposals of Azerbaijani companies in oil-gas and renewable energy projects. Daler Juma, expressed Tajikistan’s interest in establishing broad energy cooperation with Azerbaijan.
