Today marks World Maritime Day.

Established in 1978, this day is celebrated annually on the last Thursday of September. The purpose of this day is to draw international attention to the negative impacts arising from increased pollution in seas and oceans, as well as from global warming, and to call upon humanity to protect biological resources.

The seas also give us inexhaustible opportunities such as wave and wind energy. By using this energy efficiently, we can both protect our planet and leave a reliable energy legacy for future generations.
