The emergence of oil as a commodity in the world market and the emergence of cinema dates back almost the same time – in the second half of the XIX century. It is no coincidence that the film "In the Kingdom of Oil and Millions", which was screened based Ibrahim Musabeyov’s narrative of the same name and considered the first full-length feature film in the history of Azerbaijani cinema, was shot in 1916 at the expense of the money of Baku oil entrepreneurs and first shown in Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev's passage- "French Electrobiography" (current "Old Department Store") is shown.
