Electricity transmission for the first time in Azerbaijan
In 1906, the transmission of electricity began for the first time in Azerbaijan. For the first time in this history, two 8.1 km long overhead transmission lines with 20 kV were laid from the power plant in the White City to the Balakhani oil fields.
