Board Meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy

A hybrid board meeting on the results of 2024 was held under the chairmanship of Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Board noted the important measures and achievements taken in the energy sector in the current year in accordance with the socio-economic development policy established by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's successful hosting of COP29 and the initiatives put forward in the field of energy have gained wide support on an international scale and this support continues after the Conference. It was noted that the steps taken in the field of modernization of energy supply infrastructure, increasing the share of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency within Green World Solidarity Year play an important role in the development of the energy sector.

Then the reports on the issues on the agenda of the meeting were heard. In the Action Plan of the socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026, a report on the implementation status of the measures responsible for the Ministry of Energy in 2024 was presented. The report highlighted the projects implemented within the international cooperation in the energy sector during the year, as well as the results of measures implemented in the field of renewable energy.

The draft of the Work Plan for 2025 of the Board of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan was reviewed at the meeting, and a decision was made to approve the Work Plan.

At the end, the chairman of the board gave instructions on the effective implementation of the upcoming tasks for the implementation of projects aimed at the development of the energy sector next year.
