The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TCCA)
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TCCA) was established in 1992 to provide foreign aid through the Turkish Foreign Ministry. It has been subject to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Turkey since May 28, 1999.
TCCA has 100 Cooperation Offices in 54 countries around the world. At the same time, TCCA cooperates with different development centers in approximately 100 countries around the world in related fields.
The Baku Programme Coordination Office of the organisation has been operational since 1994. Adem Urfa has headed the office since August 1, 2016.
Projects are implemented on a one-off basis in the form of small volumes of assistance. Special attention is paid to the establishment of cooperation with the state and non-state structures of Azerbaijan in the fields of agriculture, tourism and institutional infrastructure development, and economic, technical, social, cultural and health spheres.
A training programme for energy efficiency and management in industry, held in Ankara and Istanbul by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on November 4-15, 2013, was attended by a representative from the Ministry of Energy.
